Déjà vu: A Pictorial Post

I like to think that skating is an activity in which imitation--as Charles Colton once put it--is the sincerest form of flattery. It's certainly a rosier view than the alternative (that is, a lack of new ideas).

  1. Akiko and Jimmy MacElroy, that is hilarious. Though I must say that Ms. Suzuki looks fantastic - as always.

Seeing Dai turn back the clock like this makes me sad.

Morozov is such a hack. The costumes are the same, the music is the same, the programs are the same. Why do the judges continue to reward skaters for this crap? How can Amodio get 85 in PCS when he stops to dance in place and kill time before the second half jumps (and elsewhere in the program)? Even in a national event, that's preposterous.

    1. Why Morozov? Because name recognition :( I'm totally with you on Amodio. I am NOT impressed at all with his programs.

  2. Haha, I'd recognized Dai's costume as well! Aww, the Akiko one makes me laugh, but I LOVE that dress so much. It's now one of my fave dresses ever.
